Values Aren't Just Values

In life everyone has their own set of values, but mines a weird combination. I value many things which include family, even though family is valued by many, mine goes deeper than normal. To me family is not measured by just being related, when there is a massive family like mine then family is measured by closeness. I have nine uncles and three aunts who all have about three kids but more than half my uncles have five or more kids, that is just on my moms side. With a family like that I have to measure family by closeness especially with more cousins coming out of the woodwork every couple of years.
Another thing I value is life and taking chances. I sometimes ponder what happens when we die, but the truth is I would rather spend my time living life to the fullest than thinking about death. This is why one of my mottos in life is "Try before I die". To me this means that if I have a chance to do something in life I should take it and have that experience before I die. I want people to look at my tombstone when I am dead, and know that I tried my best and lived my life to the fullest.

  1. Matthew,
I think you are on the right path... Family is incredibly important. Please be sure to include reasons and details to support your statements. I am not fully convinced as to why your family is so valuable to you. Also, the directions state you should focus on one thing that you value.
